Review: Fancl Skin Renewal Pack

Bought this skin renewal pack, hoping that it will be the right exfoliator for me. Well, I was wrong again. I reckon Fancl skincare dont really suits me, except their washing powder.

Review: Gel form, have to leave it on for like 5 minutes then massage it off. No obvious after effect i will say. Probably becos im too used to exfoliating products with either micro beads or at least some dead skin coming out when I massage, its hard to imagine that this product is able to rid dead skin.

Verdict: 4/10 For this price and short shelf life of only 2 months, this product is just not for me.

Review: Fancl White Body Milk

Have been hoping to whiten my body all along so that the color difference between my face & body become smaller. Therefore, I bought Fancl white body milk when I was in tokyo back in May.

It was slightly cheaper in Tokyo, retailing for 1260Yen, I managed to get it at a further 10% discount cos there was some kind of a promotion going on then. Its retailing at $22 for a bottle of 150ml here in sg.

Result:

As usual, no fragrance detected for fancl products. But i do think it smells like one of my facial skincare. Scent wasnt strong anyway.

Lotion was rather light & watery, but takes a while to be fully absorbed. After application, skin felt smooth and soft.

Once opened, lotion has to be finished within 2 months. I used it diligently for the past 1.5mths, then I became lazy due to work. But i still managed to use up to 85%. So I think its really possible to finish a bottle within 2 months. I applied it on both hands, and upper thighs & feet (the area which is exposed when I wear my covered shoes).

Now, so hows the whitening result? Yes, it worked for me!! I'm very sure cos I saw the difference on both my feet. My feet became darker than my toes when I went under the sun a 3 months back. Then after applying the lotion for 1 mth, I realised it whiten them a little, even out the tone too. I believe with continuous usage, my feet will be back to my origina color heh.

Verdict: 10/10

My main motive of buying it is to whiten, since product does its job, what more can i expect? Well, i do hope it can be slightly cheaper though haha

Fancl Fresh 5th Issue

My stupid brother woke me up from my beauty sleep, I cant get back to sleep anymore. So here I am, blogging about how wonderful Fancl is haha. Sidetrack a little, I dont understand it when he chose to play the guitar ( in strips =.= horizontal stripes top & vertical strips boxers >.<, what a combination!) rather than starting his work earlier. Wierd brother huh!

alright, enough of the grumbles.

I was back home late yestersday and was surprised to see a large envelope with the word Fancl printed on it. Then I realise it must be the fresh issue! I took it on my way home earlier today and dint expect them to mail a copy to me! This is what i call service! :) So sweet of them, thumbs up! Made me feel privileged as their member.

Watsons sent a SMS some time ago telling me that I am entitled to a copy of the current glow magazine cos i spent a minimum amount there. till now, i still dint receive it. Emailed them twice and they dint bother to reply. Call the number written in front of the cashier, stating that thats the customer service number but that number dint even get through. What kinda rubbish is this! So you can imagine my face when experiences with both are so different. Its not about the magazine, its about service seriously. I can be quite particular about this at times.

Love the simple yet elegant fresh cover :) Its their 5th issue so far. I only knew about Fresh when they are at their 2nd issue. Very informative articles as compared to most beauty magazines, explaining why certain skin problems seem to be bugging us etc.

Fresh discuss about whitening, pore problem, wrinkles & hydration (Hyaluronic Aicd) in this issue. Explained very clearly about the ingredients they have in respective products which help to combat different skin problems, adding in some beauty tips here and there. They also have a make up corner teaching us the different ways of applying make up :) I like it when they engage their readers by having Q&A corner, interactive hub and voting in every issue too. I won myself washing powder with puff (for voting my best travel friendly product) and a box of tense up (sharing tips on anti-aging) in their 3rd issue. :) They sent me the washing powder wrapped up securely in box. They even delivered me the tense up ( I can even decide the best timing! ) to my doorstep.. I was so impressed with their service seriously.

Since its their 10th Anniversary in SG, we are 'granted' a wish! haha. By making a purchase of at least $50 between 23 july and 26 aug, we will be able to tell Fancl our wishes (related to FAncl) and the 10 most interesting entries will have their wishes granted :) Interesting hur.. lol. I'm happy to see Fancl becoming eco-friendly too! By saying no to paper bag with every purchase, we will receive a 10cents rebate which may be offset against our next purchase :) Hopefully the tense up packaging can be changed to something more environment friendly as well.

Review: Fancl Sebum Care Pack

Bought Fancl's sebum care pack when I was searching for a deep cleansing mask a few months ago.

Its selling at $27.50/box, 8sachets in each box. Meaning it costs $3+ for each deep cleansing experience. Q costly i feel, compared to other deep cleanse mask in the market.

Nonetheless, I bought a box to try since Im smitten with fancl after the great experience with their washing powder haha.

The amount of 'paste' found in each sachet is enough for 2 person, so if you have siblings, both of you can use it on the same day, 1 after another, this makes it more worth! It does not smell weird or bad like some other deep cleansing mask. All I need to do is to spread it evenly on my face, and leave it on for 3min before washing it off. Its quite easy to wash off this mask too!

Result: Face is left smooth after usage, not too dry either. My face do feel less oily on the next day. Other than that, i dont really see any other effects. As for the blackheads part, I dont think it helps to reduce mine.

Verdict: 7/10 I dont think I will re-purchase this costly mask. The other deep cleansing mask that works similar definitely cost cheaper in the long run.

Review: Fancl Washing Powder

I just realised I actually forgot to review my fave cleanser in my blog!

yup, you are right, its the highly raved fancl washing powder :)

I started using it about 2years ago.. I stopped for a year before going back to it last sept. I just cant resist the smooth & cleansed feeling it gives me despite it being unfriendly to my wallet >.<

For fancl's washing powder, basically there are 2 types available : the light version & the normal one. According to the SA, both work the same except that the light one gives a more refreshing feel. I personally prefer the normal version cos I think my face feels softer with it compared to the light one.

The blue foam ball in the picture is free. we will need that to create enough foam for cleansing. I will change to a new one every 3-4 weeks. We can request for new ones from any of the counters. Well, do note that its not free in japan though, so get yours in sg haa! I realised the foam ball is very useful for soap cleanser too! I used it together with my ettusais soap cleanser in the past oops.

Well, Fancl is known for their no-preservative skincare. So this washing powder needs to be finished within 2 months once opened, and 1 yr from manufacturing date when its unopened. So, this cleanser is actually very expensive in the long run :( And to my horror, 1 bottle only lasted me a mth omg!

When I first started using it, I cant finish it within 2 months to be frank. Nonetheless, I will still discard it since i dont dare risking expired stuff on my face. When i re-purchase it again last year, I finally understand why I dint managed to finish it in the past. thats bcos the amount of powder i use daily is too little! With enough powder this time round, i create dense & lotsa foam! I finish 1 bottle a month! Whenever there are zits on my face, these foam works like a cushion, providing some kinda protection and I will be able to glide through the zits area without my hands touching/hurting them :) Hence, I will be able to massage & cleanse my face well.

So after months of pampered foam, I am reluctant to go back to other cleansers since they cant provide the same amount of foam like fancl's, and even if they do, they wont be as dense & cushion-like!

If you have occasional zits on your back like me, try cleansing them with leftover foam from the powder ( Since there are really lotsa foam haha). Its definiely not as harsh as those body cleansers out there, and I realised it helps my back condition too :)

After wash, face feel really smooth & soft, it dint feel tight too! 1 thing to tak note of, if you're 1 of those who like the clean dish after wash feeling, then perhaps fancl washing powder is not the one for you. well, at least this is true for miao haha!

Verdict: 9/10 1 point deducted for the unfriendly price haha! but this dint stop me from loving it!
